Sam Alibrando, Ph.D.
Sam’s top five strengths from StrengthsFinder 2.0 were measured as WOO (Win Others Over), Individualization, Communication, Futuristic, and Ideation. Together, these describe someone who works collaboratively with others with positive transformation in mind. Whether it is working together with a business owner to hire just the right person to run their operations, grooming a new GM to run a troubled satellite office, facilitating a team-building workshop using the latest personality assessments, helping refine the effectiveness of an executive leadership team—or as one owner commissioned him, “to make all my project managers more emotionally intelligent”—Sam brings all his talents and passion to bear on helping others get to the next level.
Sam Alibrando is also an author. His seminal work on the change process is Follow the Yellow Brick Road: How to Change for the Better When Life Gives You Its Worst, which was followed by his most recent award-winning book (Best Business Book by the Los Angeles Book Festival), The 3 Dimensions of Emotions: Finding the Balance of Power, Heart, and Mindfulness in All of Your Relationships.
Sam has accumulated many interests and experiences over 35 years as a consultant, therapist, executive director, author, workshop facilitator, adjunct professor, and mediator. However, all these experiences and roles are aimed toward one end: to facilitate the transformation of individuals and organizations; to leverage their strengths and transcend their weaknesses in order to become better at what they do and to do that with integrity and joy.
